Paint in the Park | Plein Air Competition

Artists, grab your brushes! CTAC is looking forward to hosting another annual plein air competition coming up June 7th. This year’s location will be the Think Ability Community Gardens – 2113 W Beech, Duncan, OK.  We have three judges from out of town this year: Diane Denham, Rachal Smith, and Fran Wehner.

Check in at 8:30 am where you can pay your entry fee ($20 for non-members/$15 for members). Artists bring their own supplies, including your canvas. CTAC will have some canvases (beginner quality) available for $5. Painting starts at 9:00 am and artists have 2 hours to complete their painting. Time is up at 11:00 am. Head back to where you checked in for judging. Judging begins at 11:30 am. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and an honorable mention placing will be awarded ribbons and cash prizes.

“Paint in the Park” is CTAC’s annual plein air competition. Traditionally held in a select local park in the Duncan/Marlow area, it has in recent years taken to the streets of Duncan Main street as well as notable local business locations and landmarks such as the Lindley House Bed and Breakfast.
